In 2024, a decision by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) lowered the bar for proficiency standards in our schools. This policy change has masked the true educational outcomes and challenges faced by our students, giving a false impression of improvement at the cost of genuine growth and learning.

Following this decision, a new statewide poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies reveals that 82% of all Wisconsin voters agree the state should restore higher academic standards and provide honest school report cards.
